Free Chat GPT course to help enhance digital skills

University of Staffordshire is offering a fully-funded course providing a comprehensive introduction to Chat GPT. 

Ran as part of the Stoke-on-Trent Higher Skills Accelerator, the three-hour course aims to equip individuals with the skills to use the AI technology in their professional and personal lives. 

For those in work, an explanation will be given on how the generative chatbot can help in different job roles, such as drafting emails for administrative tasks, generating project plans for project managers, and drafting interview questions for HR professionals. 

It takes place on Thursday, 5 December and is open to anyone who pays council tax to Stoke-on-Trent City Council, is 18 years and over and who meets the following criteria: 

  • Employed for one hour or more of paid work per week (including those temporarily away from work because they are sick or on holiday).  
  • Temporary and permanent employees who are on fixed-term contracts or agency temping.  
  • Self-employed people.  
  • People on government-supported training programmes, engaging in any form of work, work experience, or work-related training.  
  • People on maternity or paternity leave.
