H&B Electrical Services has invested a six-figure sum into new headquarters more than double the size of its previous premises.
The electrical company has moved from Brampton Sidings in Newcastle-under-Lyme to Chesterton’s High Street to allow room for further expansion.
Extensive refurbishment work has been carried out on the building, which was once home to a branch of Britannia Building Society.
Owner Mark Bennett said the move marks a decade of growth for the firm.
He said: “As a company, H&B has moved forward rapidly in the past five years, and we have completely outgrown our former unit.
“I have overseen the design of the new building to include well equipped offices for the team and a meeting room where we can bring in clients to discuss new projects, complete with the latest video conferencing technology linked to a large screen.
“I’m proud of the development and it demonstrates what we have accomplished in recent years, taking the company from its original role of fulfilling small domestic jobs to working on regular contracts for larger businesses, such as DJH, Lucideon, Broxap, large care homes, and Pets at Home, with headquarters in Cheshire.
“We’re looking to take on more maintenance contracts for large companies, allowing us to continue to grow our team.”
Mark began his career as an apprentice in Stoke-on-Trent before eventually striking out as a jobbing electrician before founding H&B.
In 10 years, the electrician from Trentham has taken H&B Electrical Services from one man with a van to a full-time team of 12.
He added: “I am delighted to say that we have been able to grow organically. We haven’t had to take on loan debt and that remains the case as the new premises are personally owned by me and Helen, my wife, as part of our pension plans.”
