Street furniture manufacturer Broxap has strengthened its position in the cycle storage sector by acquiring a London-based specialist.
Broxap has said the acquisition of Turvec reflects its commitment to expanding its capabilities in delivering durable and safe products that create smart and innovative public spaces.
Turvec will continue in its current mode of operation.
John Boyle, Managing Director at Broxap, said: “We already offer a full geographical service throughout the UK, from our Staffordshire manufacturing base.
“Turvec’s market position and London location, together with their talented team, perfectly complements Broxap’s offering and its comprehensive product portfolio.
“We’re delighted to welcome the Turvec team into the Broxap family.”
Family-owned Broxap is based in Chesterton, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, and specialises in the design and manufacture of high specification street furniture, all types of shelters, design and build projects plus sports and playground equipment.
George Hosegood, Co-founder of Turvec, said: “Turvec has seen real success since the business was launched in 2015. We have grown a strong position as a leading supplier of quality cycle storage from our London offices.
“Since first meeting Broxap, I have been impressed with the strength of their operation, speed of responses and the family feeling of the business. As part of Broxap, Turvec now becomes a UK manufacturer, strengthening supply chain and competitiveness. This will allow the Turvec business unit to grow substantially over the coming years.
“I have no doubt that Broxap is the ideal long-term home for Turvec.”
