Local business people are set to take to the dance floor in a glittering Strictly-style competition in aid of Dougie Mac.

The team behind the popular Knot A Sports Day, Knot Events, will hold Strictly Knot Dancing at the Kings Hall in Stoke on Friday, October 3, which will see contestants – who have yet to be revealed but are described as ‘prominent figures from the business world’ – take to the dance floor to vie for the champion’s title.

Tables for the event, which forms part of Stoke-on-Trent’s centenary celebrations, are priced at £1,000 for 10 people, including a three-course meal and live entertainment, in aid of the much-loved North Staffordshire hospice.

A spokesperson for Knot Events said: “Join us as we dance the night away, support an incredible charity, and crown the Strictly Knot Dancing champion of 2025. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and celebrate the spirit of community and generosity.”
