Capula has invested £500,000 into its facilities including the expansion of its operations in Stone and a new office in Yorkshire.

The systems integrator, which specialises in industrial automation and digital solutions, has extended its presence with a new facility at Douglas Park, in Stone, providing production and office space.

The new place almost doubles Capula’s space at the location and whilst the new unit is separate from its headquarters, it is located next door to an existing unit that the company leases.

Staff are expected to move in as soon as the commercial aspects are agreed.

Managing Director Simon Coombs said: “Our investment in the Stone Head Office is testament to our commitment to continuing to provide modern and collaborative environments for our employees and clients.

“This expansion follows our investment in the world’s leading automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS), the Hänel Lean-Lift, driving even greater operational and manufacturing excellence.

“These investments will continue to help us to drive our success by better supporting our talented team and creating greater opportunities in the Staffordshire region.”

Capula’s new office facility in Malton, Yorkshire.

Capula employs 360 people in Stone and has 410 permanent employees across the UK and Scotland.

Eighty new members of staff were recruited last year due to the company’s growth.

The firm hopes to up its employee numbers to between 450 and 500 this year.

Capula has also carried out a comprehensive refurbishment of its offices in Westlakes, in Cumbria, and Aldermaston, in Berkshire, to provide modern interiors and improved communal areas.

And a new office facility in Malton, Yorkshire, will allow Capula to deliver even higher levels of service and efficiency to key clients located in the region.

People and Quality Director Steve Tellwright said: “The expansion into Malton with new facilities is a strategic move to meet the increasing demands of our clients. This investment will enable us to enhance our service delivery and maintain our competitive edge.”
