Leadership change at South Staffs Water

1 min read

The current Group CEO of South Staffs Water’s parent company has assumed the responsibilities of managing director whilst recruitment takes place for a new one.

The water company announced in December that Andy Willicott was stepping down as Managing Director to pursue external opportunities.

Charley Maher, from parent company South Staffordshire Plc, will assume responsibilities and continue to support the existing leadership team with both current priorities and future plans.

In a joint statement, Charley and Lord Chris Smith, Chair of the Board at South Staffordshire Water, said: “On behalf of the board, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Andy for his contributions to the business over the past four and a half years and to wish him all the best for the future.

“Our focus remains firmly on our overall performance and delivering a great service for our customers now and in the future.

“As we now look forward to the new business plan period (AMP) in the water sector (2025 – 2030), we remain both excited and optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to working alongside our professional and trusted South Staffs Water team to deliver our ambitious plan.”
