A Newcastle-under-Lyme-based accountancy firm has featured on a list celebrating excellence in the field.
Accountancy Age’s Top 50+50 Accountancy Firms 2024 ranks firms by total UK fee income for the last financial year and is based on the voluntary submission of data.
Thompson Wright features in 100th place and is listed alongside others with a presence in Staffordshire including RSM and DJH, who have offices in Stoke-on-Trent, Begbies Traynor, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Dains, which has four offices in the county.
Managing Director Richard Thompson said: “I am extremely pleased to join the Top 50+50 Accountancy Firms list. It shows how hard we have worked as a team, and this not only highlights our achievements but also motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of what we can accomplish together.”
Director Rachel Buxton said the achievement came following a ‘remarkable’ year in 2024, which also saw the company shortlisted for several awards.
She said: “Although we didn’t make the list last year, I am incredibly proud that we were recognised for achieving a 50:50 split in our percentage of female directors. We will continue to aim high in 2025.”
