A Burton-based tyre business that started as a one-man mobile operation is celebrating a major milestone with the opening of its first garage.
Midland Tyre Solutions, founded by Joe Walls in 2021, moved into a newly refurbished unit at Derwent Business Park after an extensive renovation. The company, which began with just one van and basic tools, has grown significantly over the past few years, building a strong reputation and earning more than 200 five-star reviews.
Joe said: “I started off as a solely mobile tyre company back in 2021 with one van and basic tools and built up my customer base and reputation over time. When I got the keys to the empty unit, now our garage, I completed an extensive renovation, kitting it out with state-of-the-art equipment.”
As part of the business’s expansion, Joe has recently hired his brother, Oli, as a trainee, and they now offer a full range of services, including mobile tyre fitting, breakdown assistance and garage-based repairs such as tyres, brakes, batteries, and vehicle servicing. The company caters to a wide variety of vehicles, from motorbikes to tractors, as well as high-performance and heavy plant machinery.
Joe added: “We are extremely proud to be a small, family-run business and provide customers with a personalised service. We’re excited to bring our five-star expertise into the heart of Burton-on-Trent and ensure that local people receive the service they deserve.”
The company’s move to Unit 1 Derwent Business Park was facilitated by property agents Rushton Hickman.
