A North Staffordshire joinery firm is expanding its business into new markets with a range of glamping pods and garden buildings.
Franklin and Jameson Joinery, based in Leek, has worked primarily with developers and house builders since it was founded in 2015 and has a team of more than 20 staff and subcontractors.
And now Managing Director Dean Franklin has designed and constructed a new range of buildings to break into the holiday and leisure market – including garden offices, glamping pods and a shepherd’s hut – with examples available to view in the firm’s yard off Abbey Green Road.
Dean, who has worked as a joiner since he left school, now plans to launch the bespoke buildings onto the wholesale and retail market and work directly with homeowners, glamping sites and holiday parks.
He said: “I’ve personally spent a lot of time developing a strategy for this new venture and have developed a selection of garden buildings to a market leading design and hi-spec finish.
“Because we are a small Staffordshire business with the capabilities to complete work in house, we are able to supply them at a very competitive price when compared to the well-known outlets and garden centres.
“We are able to work directly with homeowners, glamping sites and holiday parks to give what we believe is superior service.”
