Specialist manufacturer Mantec Technical Ceramics has appointed a new sales director with global responsibility for its internationally renowned brands.
The firm, based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, has welcomed Tim Evans to the role, joining from Mantec Group company Fairey Industrial Ceramics, trading as Doulton Water Filters in Newcastle-under-Lyme, where he managed different regions of the world as global sales manager.
Tim brings a wealth of experience in the UK ceramics industry having started his career at the company that is now Lucideon, clocking up experience as sales manager for Hi-Por, a company formed by Dyson to commercialise ceramic processing technologies patented by Dytech, and working for a leading lab equipment company, selling international brands such as Pyrex and Sterilin.
He said: “I’m excited to be joining Mantec Technical Ceramics with its quite unique advanced engineering and manufacturing facility. I look forward to meeting all our many existing customers, and forging new partnerships, to help satisfy their needs with our diverse range of technical ceramics.”
Mantec Technical Ceramics provides ceramic-based solutions to global industries.
Its products include Ultralite, a microporous product that provides lightweight, super-insulative mass in tunnel kilns.
Tim added: “We will continue with our strong messaging to key user industries and I’m preparing already for meetings with specifiers on our stand at The Advanced Materials Show in July at the NEC, Birmingham.”
Tim succeeds Mark Berrisford, who left the company last year.
