Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG), believes that apprenticeships are the foundation of growth, both for individuals and businesses. As part of Daily Focus’s National Apprenticeship Week campaign, the organisation has shared the journey of Jack Pettitt, who went from an apprentice to being NSCG’s Apprenticeship Hub Manager, illustrating how apprenticeships can create valuable career opportunities.
Jack began his journey at NSCG in December 2014 as a Business Administration apprentice, eager to gain real-world experience and develop his skills. Through hands-on training, industry-relevant education, and dedicated mentorship, Jack quickly excelled in his role. His commitment and passion for learning not only helped him progress through the ranks but also inspired others within the apprenticeship community.
With continued support from NSCG, Jack transitioned into full-time employment and demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. In September 2023, his hard work and dedication ultimately led him to his current position as the Apprenticeship Hub Manager, where he now plays a key role in supporting new apprentices and working closely with employers.
