Street furniture firm Broxap has invested more than £2 million into a new National Distribution Centre (NDC) designed to meet ever-growing customer demand.
The company has acquired a site on Parkhouse Industrial Estate in Chesterton , near Newcastle-under-Lyme, from a seller who had been leasing it to Aspire Housing.
The new 2,500 sq m facility has opened up around 10 new jobs at both the NDC and Broxap’s base at nearby Rowhurst Industrial Estate with further opportunities expected as the site grows and investments continue.
To complement the new distribution centre, a cutting-edge 3.5-tonne flatbed with a trailer has been introduced to the transport fleet to improve the movement of goods to and from Broxap’s six-acre factory, boasting eco-friendly technology and enhanced load capacity.
Managing Director John Boyle said: “The opening of our NDC is a proud moment for Broxap.
“This facility, along with our new vehicle, will ensure our in-stock products are always available and delivered swiftly to meet the needs of our customers.”
Manufacturing Director Matthew Miles added: “Our new NDC is a game changer for our operations. By housing our in-stock products in one location, we can ensure faster delivery and maintain high product availability for our customers. We’re eager to see this milestone’s positive impact on our strong supply chain.”
