A Staffordshire-based pet photographer has spotlighted of the county’s beloved dogs in an internationally published book, while raising vital funds for a local rescue charity.
Katie Anderson-Palmer, an award-winning photographer and founder of Adventure Pawtraits, is one of the global professionals who contributed to the Tails of the World book project in 2024 – and now Katie is looking for participants to represent Staffordshire in a new edition of the book for 2025.

The Tails of the World Collective, founded in 2015 by Australian photographer Caitlin J. McColl, brings together photographers from around the world to celebrate dogs and raise money for animal rescues. Each photographer involved in the project fundraises for a local rescue organisation, while proceeds from book sales are donated to an Australian-based animal charity.
Adventure Pawtraits raised £1,000 in 2024 for LUOSKO German Shepherd Dog Rescue, a Cheadle-based organisation dedicated to rehoming German Shepherds from both the UK and Europe – but Katie has yet to select her chosen charity for 2025.

Katie, pictured above, from Newcastle, who started Adventure Pawtraits in 2020, said: “This is a great opportunity to have a magical experience with your dog and take away memories to cherish forever. There are so many beautiful spots in Staffordshire to have your dog captured in natural lighting and they will have lots of fun – and taking part will also help raise much-needed funds for local dog rescues.
“Having your dog’s portrait published in a book that celebrates dogs all around the world is so special, and I am honoured to be a part of it.”
