Supporters have just a day and a half left to see donations to the British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) doubled up by a national funding pot.
It’s called the Big Give, and the BCB hopes to raise £5,000 from donations which will be made up to £10,000.
The money raised will support BCB’s programmes in Stoke-on-Trent supporting free creative activities for children and young people. In the city 23.6 per cent of children and young people are living in poverty and access to creative activities in schools are reducing.
The clock’s ticking – the deadline is noon tomorrow (Tuesday, 25 March) so anyone who wants to donate should use this link.
• BCB is staged in Stoke-on-Trent every two years and spotlights leading contemporary ceramic artists and introduces work by fresh new talent, animating historic buildings and unexpected places with clay.
The next set of citywide events will run this year from 6 September to 19 October.
As well as staging the single largest ceramics event in the UK, BCB runs an engaging year-round programme of artists’ commissions, learning and community projects in Stoke-on-Trent, with a vision of making change through clay.
