Training provider wins award for apprenticeship excellence

1 min read

A training provider has been recognised for its commitment to apprenticeships at a business awards ceremony.

Performance Through People, which has a base in Cannock, won the Promoting Apprenticeships award at the Signature Awards, held in Birmingham, thanks to its work spotlighting apprenticeships internally and externally.

Approximately five- to 10 per cent of its 80 employees are currently engaged in an apprenticeship, while 100 per cent of staff who have completed apprenticeship programmes remain with the company.

In addition to internal initiatives, PTP also works with more than 1,000 apprentices externally, delivering training across various sectors including engineering and manufacturing, healthcare, business, education, finance, leadership and management, hospitality and logistics.

Managing Director Rob Colbourne said: “I’m honoured to lead a business that truly believes in the apprenticeship brand and the impact it has on individuals, employers and communities.

“Any recognition for how we promote apprenticeships is well received, but to be recognised at such a high-profile event as The Signature Awards, with such fierce competition, is something we should be very proud of.”

PTP, which was recognised by the Department for Education as one of the top 50 SME employers in the country in 2022,  is set to launch a new website and has invested in local advertising to promote their apprenticeship offerings, as well as seeing strong growth in social media engagement since the appointment of a full-time sales and marketing coordinator.
