SID was created in 1963 to bring together national organisations representing the precision machining industry.

During David’s new presidency at SID, the key objectives will take on a global focus;

encourage collaboration, promote networking, and the exchange of ideas among members in the precision machining sector and more.

Current members include the United Kingdom’s British Turned Parts Manufacturers Association which David is also President of.

He said: “Throughout my participation in various SID congresses, we have consistently addressed critical industry topics and the challenges we face. By collaborating and utilising our shared knowledge on a global scale, we aim to drive impactful results for our industry.”
