A free family festival designed to honour and embrace recovery will return to Staffordshire next month.
RecoverFest is an alcohol-free family day out which will feature live music, strongman stunts, stilt walkers, disco ball heads, acrobats and a healing yurt.
Taking place at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Sunday, 3 August, the event is a chance to celebrate how far people have come and to show what is possible with the right support around them.
It is lead by a coalition of local partners including STaRS, delivered by MPFT Inclusion; BAC O’Connor, Betterway Recovery, Chase Recovery, Detox Factor, The O’Connor Gateway Trust; and Stoke Recovery Services, delivered by We Are With You and BAC O’Connor.
All the proceeds will go to Andy’s Man Club and Staffordshire Women’s Aid.
Kendra Gray, CEO of BAC O’Connor and Trustee of the O’Connor Gateway Trust, said on behalf of Recoverfest 2025: “We are absolutely delighted to be hosting the third annual Recoverfest at our exciting new venue — Uttoxeter Racecourse. I’d like to extend our thanks to the team at Uttoxeter for supporting this special event and making the move possible.
“Recoverfest is a vibrant celebration of recovery — bringing communities together, showcasing the talents and stories of people in recovery, challenging stigma, and giving back with pride and purpose.
“With live music, art, performance, wellbeing activities, and powerful stories of hope, the festival offers a truly inclusive and uplifting programme. We can’t wait to welcome everyone for what promises to be an amazing and fun day, we hope to see you there.”
Other attractions on the day include a wellbeing field with seated massage, hand Reiki and card readings, a children’s zone, craft stalls, a speakers tent featuring talks from people in recovery and an interactive arts tent with drop-in creative workshops.
The festival takes place between 12pm and 6pm.
