Free jobs fair will ‘open doors’ in Stafford

1 min read

A free jobs fair will be held in Stafford later this month, designed to help local people find jobs, explore training options and speak directly with local employers and support services.

Stafford Jobs Fair will take place at Stafford College between 11am and 1pm on Wednesday, 30 July.

There will be full-time and part-time roles on offer, as well as apprentices and skills training.

Leigh Ingham, MP for Stafford, Eccleshall, and the villages, who is co-hosting the event with Stafford JobCentre Plus, said: “This event is about opening doors for people – whether it’s their first job, a fresh start, or a new skill.

“Stafford has some brilliant employers and opportunities, and I want to make sure everyone in our community can access them. This is about fairness, support, and helping people take that next step with confidence.”

Stu Aitken, Employer Advisor at Stafford JobCentre Plus, said: “The Summer Jobs Fair is a great opportunity for jobseekers to meet employers face-to-face, see what’s out there, and get practical support in a positive and welcoming space.”

Any employers interested in signing up should email stafford@parliament.uk for further details.

Jobseekers can turn up on the day – no registration is needed.
