Staffordshire’s business community helped to raise more than £10,000 from this year’s adult sports day.

Thirty-five teams – totalling 210 people – competed in Knot a Sports Day 2025 with the Recruitment Rock Stars team from Premier Placement Services, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, crowned the winners.

The event, held at University of Staffordshire – featured the likes of race relays, egg and spoon contests, inflatable assault courses and dodgeball.

Funds raised will be split between 10 local charities including Affordable Food Stoke, The Hubb Foundation, The Gingerbread Centre and Alice Charity.

Josie Morris, Managing Director of Stone’s Woolcool, and one of the event’s organisers, said: “£10,000 is a fantastic amount to have raised for our incredible local charities, all of which will now receive just over £1,000 each.

“Knot a Sports Day is proving to be a fantastic and successful event that brings businesses together to raise much needed funds for local causes.

“We want to thank all the participants, sponsors and volunteers who worked so hard to make it happen and we look forward to the next fundraiser – Strictly Knot Dancing.”
