Punch Pubs completes community clean up

1 min read

Staff from a pub company turned their efforts to preserving nature for future generations by taking part in a big clean-up campaign.

Over 40 people gathered at Stapenhill Gardens near Punch Pubs & Co’s Burton upon Trent head office to remove litter and tidy its grassland, woodland areas and formal gardens.

The event was one in a series aligned with Punch’s core vale of Doing Well by Doing Good and saw 48kg of litter collected.

Punch volunteers were joined by campaign partners Molson Coors, Biffa and local families and friends.

Jon Dale, Punch’s Strategic Corporate Affairs & ESG Lead, said:“Our commitment to protecting people, the planet, and our pubs is gaining traction, and I’m incredibly proud once again to see so many Punch people, suppliers, and volunteers help us drive meaningful change.

“We will continue to make strides in this ‘Doing Well, by Doing Good’ space, knowing that we are leading the way in protecting the environment and creating a sustainable world for future generations.”

Punch aims to encourage more pubs to join their initiative and another litter pick is scheduled for September at Cannock Chase.
