Teenage detailer Jack hits the big time with footballers’ cars

A 16-year-old car detailer from Brown Edge has seen his business dreams take off after being invited to clean Stoke City players’ cars while they train.

Jack Forrester, who started JF Detailing less than a year ago with £5 washes for family and friends, is now working on cars ‘people dream of owning’.

The Newcastle College student, who is studying for a Business T Level, now details cars every Sunday and Tuesday when he gets time off college – and recently added professional machine polishing and ceramic coating to his growing list of services.

Jack, whose business covers most of Staffordshire and all of Stoke-on-Trent, said: “I’ve created my detailing business this past year, starting off with family and friends. I decided to post on some local Facebook groups, charging only £5 for a wash.

“As I gained experience and trained myself, I’ve grown a client base, detailing cars people dream of owning.”

A dedicated Stoke City supporter, Jack set himself the ambitious goal of detailing a player’s car – and it’s already come true.

He said: “I created the business with the aim to detail a Stoke City player’s car as I’m a season ticket holder and follow them home and away every weekend.

“I’ve detailed Jack Bonham’s car and he’s even recommended me to the other players. So when they get back into training, I’ve been invited to detail the players’ cars while they train, which is a massive achievement.”

Jack has invested his earnings into new training and equipment, recently completing a course with Autobrite covering machine polishing and ceramic coating. He now offers a range of new services including multi-stage paint correction and long-lasting ceramic finishes, which can be booked through his website or by messaging Jack on 07377 985056.
