£250k dog daycare investment is K9 Anytime’s 10th birthday treat

A dog daycare and hotel specialist has invested £250,000 in a second facility as demand for its canine service grows across Staffordshire and Shropshire.

K9 Anytime, which is celebrating 10 years in business, has launched a daycare facility at Upper Brockhurst, near Weston Park and the borders of the two counties.

The project has involved the transformation of three traditional barns with the facility boasting two expansive outdoor paddocks and play equipment, indoor barn spaces, dedicated relaxation rooms, an extensive pantry offering Nutriment raw foods and single ingredient natural treats, and a state-of-the-art grooming studio.

The new hub has created five full-time jobs, taking the total workforce across the company’s two locations to 17 people.

The Upper Brockhurst facility is already 65 per cent full, and the company’s original site not far away at Higford is nearly at capacity.

Co-founder Tom Haynes said: “Our original daycare and hotel at Higford has been such a huge success and we’ve been continually asked if we would open a second facility. The tenth year seemed a perfect time to do just that.”

Tom formed the business with Luke Bird in 2015 and since then the company has worked with more than 3,000 dogs.

Tom added: “When Luke and I launched K9 Anytime a decade ago, we wanted to create a challenger brand for our space that rethought conventional canine care.

“Since then, we have been uprooting antiquated tradition and rewriting the rule book when it comes to giving dogs what they need to live their happiest and healthiest lives. This is a space that stimulates them physically, mentally and socially through safe socialisation, unbounded play, fulfilling exercise, impeccable nutrition and impactful training.”

K9 Anytime received another birthday boost recently when Head Groomer Abbie Mackintosh placed second in the country at the Master Groom 2025 Salon Freestyle competition, building on her Best in Show Award at last year’s English Groomers Competition.

She said: “We’ve got some amazing groomers here at K9 Anytime and we’re showing what we’re capable of on the national stage.”
