Three film and legal experts who are helping to shape the future of film in Staffordshire have been lined up to speak at an upcoming business event.
Connects Network is hosting the event in Keele to share more about opportunities in the region.
Johnny Shelton, manager of the county’s new film and TV office, will open the event.
Other speakers are Grace Jordan, director of Stoke Film Theatre, who will delve into the necessity of screening independent films to local audiences, and Knights Group Managing Director Andrew Pilkington who will share experiences and knowledge about legal foundations of intellectual property.
This free-to-attend event takes place at the Denise Coates Foundation Building, Keele University on Thursday 25 September, from 9am.
The session – Connects @ Keele - is the first in a series of events which will take place in the build-up to the second Shaping the Future Business Festival, due to take place next year.
Peter Herbert, director of not-for-profit Connects Network, said: “We are delighted to announce three brilliant keynote speakers for our next business networking event at Keele.
“All of our speakers will be able to share knowledge, expertise and experience about our county’s amazing creative industry, as well as provide insights into opportunities which are available for local businesses to get involved in.”
