New state-of-the-art vehicle workshop set to open in Rugeley

1 min read

An independent 10-bay vehicle workshop is set to open in Rugeley, creating new jobs across the business.

MB Motors, which began as a one-man mobile mechanic service, will open its new workshop on Power Station Road on Saturday, 27 September, when visitors can tour the site, meet the team and enjoy exclusive offers and demonstrations of the latest diagnostic technology.

The business is relocating from its current location on Bellamour Business Park in Wolseley Bridge.

Facilities at the new site will include dedicated MOT lanes (Class 4 & 7), an electric and hybrid service and diagnostic zone, advanced ADAS calibration equipment, tyre and four-wheel alignment bays and performance tuning services.

The expansion has created new roles across technical and customer service teams, with recruitment currently open for technicians, MOT testers, service advisors and administrative staff.

MB Motors also runs structured training programmes, including in-house apprenticeships, MOT tester development and a bespoke internal training platform.

Owner Michael Ballard said: “Rugeley has always been our home, and this investment is about giving back to the community that has supported us from day one.

“We’re creating skilled jobs, supporting the local economy and building a workshop that puts Staffordshire on the map for modern vehicle care.”
