Iconic new colourways for a worldwide favourite ceramic classic are bubbling up the recovery of one of Stoke-on-Trent’s most famous pottery names two years after it was rescued.
Wade Ceramics’ fish-shaped jugs, loved by owners the world over for their quirky design and gurgling noise when pouring, now come in a range of trendy new colourways: eau de nil, orange, pink,, red, sea blue and yellow.
The new product announcement comes less than two yearsb after the business was taken over by fenton-based consumer goods group RKW in a move which safeguarded the future of one of the Potteries’ most famous names.
All production has reamined in the city, with local artisans handcrafting each and every jug using traditional slip casting techniques, meaning no two pieces are identical.
RKW Managing Director Rob Sutton said the new collection reflected confidence in the brand and pride in Stoke-on-trent skills.
He said: “Wade Ceramics is an iconic local pottery brand and we’re proud to be ensuring its legacy continues.
“The jug range perfectly captures what makes the Potteries world famous… high-quality, handcrafted design with timeless elegance. This new colour collection is a fresh chapter for Wade, blending heritage with contemporary urban style.”
