A new interactive careers brochure has been launched to help young people in South Staffordshire explore local job opportunities and tackle the skills gaps facing businesses.
Produced by South Staffordshire Council, Your Pathway from Classroom to Career features real-life stories from local employees, workplace tours, day-in-the-life videos and practical advice for students thinking about their futures.
The brochure was unveiled at the Inspiring Tomorrow’s Workforce event at Weston Park, held in partnership with the Stoke and Staffordshire Skills Hub and Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.
South Staffordshire Council said it is committed to ensuring the resource continues to support students, educators and employers, helping to build a workforce that meets the needs of the local economy.
Cabinet member for planning and enterprise Cllr Mark Evans said: “This project shines a light on local career pathways and helps identify the skills gaps within our workforce, while supporting businesses to grow.
“Your Pathway from Classroom to Career is an exciting new resource that will make a real difference to young people and employers across South Staffordshire.”
