Buttery toast and oolong tea are among the innovative flavours set to be on offer when a new chocolate shop opens in Leek.
Charlotte Leneghan, who once worked at Leek’s popular Misco’s Chocolates, is launching Lennies, based at the Foxlowe Arts Centre on Saturday, 1 November.
As well as selling her own individual chocolates and chocolate bars, the shop will stock a variety of gifts including candles, mugs, jewellery, cards and prints from local independent businesses.
Charlotte has been making cakes and chocolates from her home in Stoke-on-Trent since Misco’s closed two years ago but has now given up her full-time job at a local charity to launch her Lennies business.

She told Daily Focus: “When I make chocolates, I aim for them to be packed with flavour and use as many fresh ingredients as possible.
“Buttery toast chocolates – made with sourdough, brown butter and chocolate – are among the most popular flavours with my current customers and I have had a lot of people asking for them to be stocked in the shop.
“There will be a core range of 12 chocolates, plus specials.”
Charlotte added: “I’m really excited to be opening in Leek. From my time at Misco’s, I know there is a market for it in the town and it is also a really good place for independent businesses to be.”
Charlotte, who has been selling chocolate at local artisan markets, will make all the chocolates at home. Other popular flavours include caramelised peanut and honey and nut.
She also hopes to introduce a range of craft chocolate.
