Accountancy group Dains has expanded its innovation advisory capabilities by acquiring a consultancy firm specialising in grant funding schemes.
The deal to acquire GHE, based in Burton upon Trent, is expected to strengthen the Group as a trusted partner for businesses seeking funding to drive innovation and across Europe.
GHE, which supports businesses and organisations in developing funding strategies, appraising projects, preparing compelling proposals and managing grants, has described the acquisition as a significant and exciting’ milestone.

Dains was established in Lichfield 1926 and still has an office in the city, as well as others across the county.
The company secured private equity investment from IK Partners last December, with five acquisitions made since then.
