Free event to help businesses learn about sustainability

Stafford-based businesses are being invited to attend a free event to learn more about driving sustainable change.

Organised by Keele University in collaboration with Support Staffordshire, the Stronger Stafford: Business and Sustainability Together event will take place on Friday, 5 December, at Aston Marina

The event, which is funded by Stafford Borough Council, will offer businesses the chance to pitch their work, host a free stand, and take part in practical sessions on driving sustainable behaviour change within their organisations.

The morning will include a free lunch and opportunities for networking and conversation. Places are free but limited, and businesses are encouraged to book early

Tom Bedford, net zero and smart energy training manager at Keele University, said: “The idea is to help local organisations discover ways to cut energy and resource costs, learn from local examples of climate action, and build connections with others doing great things in the area.”

A further event on Friday, 23 January, will provide guidance for organisations seeking sustainable certification.

Previous events in the series have included a Beaver Safari at Trentham and a ‘netwalking’ session at Cannock Chase.
