A Newcastle-under-Lyme-based firm is enjoyed continued growth and success playing a central role in the transformation of a landmark Cornish hotel and leading on a high-profile London development.
JCA Consulting is working alongside The Ainsworth Collection, led by renowned Michelin-starred chef Paul Ainsworth and his wife Emma, to provide quantity surveying and employer’s agent services for The St Enodoc Hotel in Rock.
The venue has been the cornerstone of Cornish hospitality for over a century, and the project will see it transformed into a luxurious coastal destination with new dining experiences, relaxing terraces and elegant event spaces.
JCA Consulting’s involvement spans the full project journey, from contract negotiation and design coordination through to construction monitoring, valuations, and final account management.
Jonathan Cornes, Managing Director of JCA Consulting, said: “It is an honour to be working with The Ainsworth Collection on such a significant project.
“The St Enodoc Hotel holds a special place in Cornwall’s hospitality scene, and this renovation will ensure its legacy continues for generations to come. We are proud that Staffordshire expertise is making a meaningful impact far beyond our local area.”
The project is expected to be completed in summer 2026.
JCA Consulting is also the lead consultant in the Plevna Crescent apartment scheme in Haringey, which will create 119 new homes.
Developed by Marson Property, the development has a quirky claim to fame having featured in BBC detective drama series Ludwig and the latest series of ITV crime thriller Trigger Point.
JCA Consulting director Stuart Thornhill said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Marson Property on such a forward-thinking scheme. Plevna Crescent reflects exactly the kind of development we’re passionate about, balancing social value, sustainability, and high-quality design. It’s fantastic to see our team’s expertise recognised on projects of this scale.”
