Russell Roof Tiles smashes Big Quiz record

1 min read

Manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles raised a record £20,950 at its Annual Big Quiz, an event regarded as a ‘key milestone’ in the company’s 60th anniversary year.

The event held at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium attracted 36 teams – made up of customers, suppliers, staff, friends and family from across the UK – who came together to support the company’s Give4Good initiative.

Russel Roof Tiles, based in Burton upon Trent, aims to raise £60,000 for local and international causes through the initiative this year. Give4Good was launched in 2022 to support community-led projects and has so far raised over £250,000.

This year, the initiative is backing eight local charities across Burton and Lochmaben nominated by the firms’ staff, as well as one international organisation.

Andrew Hayward hosts the quiz.

The charity night was created and hosted by the firm’s Managing Director, Andrew Hayward, alongside Regional Sales Manager Ross Hayward and Commercial Services Director Paul McLoughlin.

The winning team comprised Russell Roof Tiles’ own sales colleagues: James Pendleton, Iain Simmons, Michael Whitehead and Rhodri Jones, who donated their charity prize winnings back to Give4Good.

Andrew said: “We are delighted to have hosted another hugely successful Big Quiz, bringing people together for a memorable evening while raising a fantastic amount for our Burton and Lochmaben charities.

“We had more than 100 people in the room, and we’re extremely grateful to everyone who took part and especially Burton Albion for their continued support. This event once again demonstrates the generosity of our community and the real difference these funds make to people’s lives.”
