Sybron merger strengthens Stafford operations

1 min read

A merger of two cleaning companies has resulted in an increased presence in Stafford.

Cleaning, hygiene and catering products supplier Sybron, which recently invested £200,000 in a new Stafford site, has merged with Opera National Hygiene & Catering Supplies, based in Nantwich, in Cheshire.

Opera has now joined Essex-headquartered Sybron at its Stone Road base in Stafford, with the combined business operating as Sybron.

George Mason, Sybron’s sales and marketing director, said: “Our new Stafford depot was originally intended as a distribution hub, however our new merger with Opera gives us the opportunity to create a distinct branch and a face for Sybron in the Midlands and the North.

“We have all approached this merger with great consideration and a commitment to satisfy all parties. The hours that have gone into it have paid off and together we have created an exceptional new team – we’re off to a great start and look forward to building the business together.”

John Whittaker, Opera founder and Sybron director of the North Region, added: “We are delighted to be under the Sybron umbrella – a win-win for us and our customers.

“Our customers will continue to enjoy exceptional service under the Sybron name and also benefit from the extended infrastructure, product innovation and investment in social responsibility that come with this larger, dynamic organisation.”
