Fifty seasonal jobs have been created at an M&S branch celebrating its 20th anniversary.
M&S Tamworth has taken on the new colleagues to support the festive season.
The store has a team of 280 staff and first opened at Venture Retail Park in 2005. Seven of those employees are also celebrating their 20th anniversaries and have had them marked by the retail giant.
It underwent a refurbishment in 2008, expanded from 20,000 sq ft to 65,000 sq ft in 2010 and had a full renewal last autumn.

Store manager Russ Tatton, pictured above, said: “I’ve always loved this store. It has such a family feel among colleagues and customers, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Returning two years ago and overseeing the renewal last year was such a fantastic journey, and we’ve gone from strength to strength ever since.
“The best part is watching our café quickly become a community hub, where locals gather for a proper catch up. The Parent Hood, our weekly parent and baby catch ups, is especially popular with around 40 parents joining in every Tuesday.
“We have an incredible team and it’s amazing timing to have so many anniversaries to celebrate this year. We can’t wait to keep serving our customers and delivering the very best of M&S for the community in the years to come.”
The store has raised £2,000 for St Giles Hospice through sponsored walks and fundraising events over the past year.
