Top chef Thom Bateman is swapping teaching through social media for real life experiences, offering cookery classes to foodies.
Thom, who runs Cheddleton restaurants The Flintlock and Apres, relaunched his career in the food industry through a food blog page in 2019, clocking up 10,000 Instagram followers in a year.
His restaurants have won multiple awards, and he now has 2.6 million followers on TikTok with one of his side dish recipes clocking up 41.2 million views.
Masterclasses begin in January and cover everything from cooking basics and pizzas through to sauces and roast dinners. Private cooking classes are also being offered.
Thom told Daily Focus: “For years I have been offering educational videos via my social media platforms, I wanted to bring this to life and give people the chance to come and learn in real life.
“I will be running all the classes, and they include a lunch for us to sit down and chat. Courses will be for a maximum of four people, so everyone gets a very detailed experience.
“We are offering various specific classes but also private tuition along with gift vouchers for the budding foodie in your life.”
