A major £7 million investment in education facilities has been completed at Stoke on Trent College’s Cauldon Campus with the delivery of the new Connect Building.

The development, funded through the government-backed Further Education Capital Transformation Fund (FECTF), has been delivered by local construction partners and will be formally opened in spring 2026.

Stoke-on-Trent–based Sneyd Construction led the project as main contractor, with JPR Group completing all electrical and mechanical works.

The Connect Building provides a new base for the college’s Reception and Admissions teams and Health and Social Care teaching spaces, alongside seven new classrooms to support growing learner numbers. Facilities include a showcase classroom equipped with the latest IT and digital learning technology.

The build forms part of Stoke on Trent College’s wider capital transformation programme. Further projects, including developments at the Burslem campus, are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Hassan Rizvi, Principal and CEO of Stoke on Trent College, said: “The completion of the Connect Building is a significant milestone for the College and for the city. This £7 million investment demonstrates our commitment to providing outstanding facilities that support our learners to be ‘Skills Ready – Future Ready’, our staff and our local employers.

“We are proud to have worked with Stoke-on-Trent–based partners such as Sneyd Construction and JPR Group, whose expertise has been instrumental in delivering a modern, future-focused building that will benefit our community for many years to come.”

The FECTF programme, run by the Department for Education, supports the modernisation of further education estates across England.
