1 min read

Local businesses are being invited to meet the workforce of the future at a unique networking event hosted by Stoke‑on‑Trent College and Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.

Taking place during National Apprenticeship Week at the college’s Burslem Campus, the event will bring together employers and student apprentices to discuss skills, careers, and workplace opportunities.

The structured session, scheduled for Monday, 9 February, will allow businesses make up to 25 business connections within an hour while also meeting apprentices currently training across a range of disciplines.

As well as connecting with emerging talent, attendees will continue to enjoy the popular business‑to‑business networking experience that has made previous sessions such a success.

Hassan Rizvi, Principal and CEO of Stoke‑on‑Trent College, said: “We know from our apprenticeship programmes and close relationships with the local business community that young people bring fresh ideas, energy and skill to local businesses, and events like this help bridge the gap between employers and emerging talent.”

The event is open to businesses of all sizes, from those exploring apprenticeships for the first time to organisations looking to strengthen their workforce development plans.

Chris Plant, Interim Chief Executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, added: “This event represents an engaging and practical way to grow business networks and discover the next generation of local talent.

“It’s a real unique take on one of our most popular events – we’re really looking forward to it!”

Spaces are free for Chamber members and can be booked here.
