Ford Mainwaring staff mark major milestones at first long service awards

Almost half of Ford Mainwaring’s employees were honoured when the engineering firm held its first-ever long service awards.

A ceremony at Port Vale Football Club saw 22 out of 58 members of staff recognised with milestones ranging from five to 25 years’ service.

Eleven of those honoured started as apprentices and are now fully qualified and experienced plumbing or electrical engineers. Two were first employed in admin roles and have now progressed to assistant contract manager and finance manager.

The awards were brought in as part of a new staff benefits package and long-servers were presented with additional annual leave and loyalty bonuses as a token of appreciation for their years of commitment to their Wolstanton-based employer.

Managing Director Daniel Bailey said: “Our employees are the foundation of our success. Their hard work and loyalty drive the growth of our business, and we believe it’s essential to acknowledge their contributions.

“Achieving long-service milestones is no small feat, and nearly half of our workforce reaching this achievement is a testament to their dedication and professionalism.”
