1 min read

One of the world’s top IT security influencers has been announced as a keynote speaker at the biggest cybersecurity event of its kind to take place in Staffordshire.

Cybercon Staffordshire returns on Wednesday, 8 April following a successful inaugural event last year.

Organised by Usman Shah of Stoke-on-Trent-based Abzorbed IT, the free event is designed for key decision-makers in business and other tech professionals who are seeking to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

It will take place at the Wade Conference Centre, in Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent, between 9am and 4pm.

Keynote speaker Graham Cluley was inducted into the InfoSecurity Hall of Fame in 2011 and has held many senior roles in cybersecurity companies such as Sophos and McAfee

He also wrote Dr Solomon’s Anti-Virus Toolkit – one of the world’s first anti-virus products for Windows.

Graham, whose talk will centre on AI and cybercrime, said: “AI in the workplace is no longer science fiction – and neither are the threats it introduces.

“From prompt injection to rogue agents, organisations face a new class of risk they’re woefully unprepared for. I’m delighted to be bringing that conversation to Cybercon Staffordshire.”

Other speakers on the day include Global Director of Cyber Security Services Nick Jackson, who helps organisations strengthen resilience and move beyond compliance-led security.

Birgitte Skorge Steen, who is the Head of Microsoft Cyber Security Sales and Strategy, will also be sharing insights on the day, plus Scalefusion will be delivering insight and strategies discussing the Evolution of Zero Trust and the Unconventional Endpoints.

Places at the event are limited and early registration is encouraged.
