An expanding care home operator has snapped up a third Staffordshire business.
The Old Rectory Care Home in Bramshall, near Uttoxeter, has been purchased by Eversley Care, which already has another care home in the town and one in Codsall.
The Old Rectory, which has been sold for an undisclosed sum, is registered to care for up to 30 residents and occupies a three-storey, 28-bedroom property.
It had been owned by the Wouhra family since 2019, and was brought to market as part of a strategic disposal. The family also owns another home, which remains in their portfolio.
Richard Goss, of Wolverhampton-based Eversley Care, who purchased the property with Lauren Goss, said: “Lauren and I are delighted to have completed the sale of Old Rectory. We’re excited for this next chapter and are committed not only to maintaining excellent care, but also to making continuous improvements for the residents’ benefits.”
Jatin Wouhra, one of the former owners, said: “We are delighted that our much-loved home is safe with another West Midlands operator, who will continue the hard work and dedication this business needs to champion elderly care. We wish Richard, Lauren, and the team every success for the future.”
The care home was sold by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.
Rosie Turner, Senior Business Agent – Care at Christie & Co, said: “I am delighted to have worked on the sale of The Old Rectory for the Wouhra family.
“This much-loved care home has been acquired by a highly regarded West Midlands operator, marking an exciting new chapter for the business.
“We are thrilled to see it remain in the hands of a quality local provider and look forward to watching the home continue to grow and thrive under their expert leadership.”
