A Staffordshire-based spinal health centre has announced its first major expansion outside the county with the launch of a new clinic in Cheshire.
Stoke Chiro Spinal Health Centre, which operates its flagship site in Basford, has launched a new venture, The Spine Space, in Congleton as part of plans to grow into a multi-site healthcare group.
The £50,000 investment represents the first phase of a wider growth programme expected to reach six figures over the next one to two years.
The Congleton clinic, based within The Retreat in the town’s Market Quarter, marks a significant milestone for the business, which currently treats more than 600 patients a week at its Basford site and employs a team of 27 staff.

While the new site is initially being supported by existing staff, one additional team member has already been recruited. The company expects to create between five and 10 jobs over the next two years, with further roles likely as the expansion continues.
Director and chiropractor Chris Pitcher said the expansion had been driven by a commitment to both patients and staff.
He said: “Our growth is a direct result of our commitment to our patients and our people. We are heavily invested in the success of both our team members and our patients.
“Bringing this philosophy to Congleton allows us to export the ‘Stoke Chiro’ standard of excellence while we help more people out of pain, move better and get back to the activities they love to do.”
Stoke Chiro offers a range of services including chiropractic care, osteopathy and Pilates, and has built a strong reputation, with 585 five-star Google reviews.
