ARDEX Group UK invests in future skills with academy upgrade

1 min read

Building materials supplier ARDEX Group UK has made a significant investment in skills and training by upgrading its Stoke-on-Trent academy.

The company’s ARDEXacademy North has reopened following an extensive programme of renovation and redevelopment and is now expected to cater for 500 construction professionals across the UK each year.

Previously operating as the Innovation & Technology Centre, which primarily supported BAL branded training, the upgraded academy is a modern learning hub now serving the wider ARDEX group including BAL, ARDEX and DUNLOP.

The facility, in Trentham, has reopened with a strong emphasis on immersive, interactive learning experiences for industry professionals including fixers, installers, contractors, architects, designers and distribution partners.

Features include new moveable floor tiling and flooring bays, expanded practical wall bays, a fully refurbished auditorium, an upgraded studio room, and large, flexible meeting rooms.

Lewis Lupton, UK Head of Training and Technical Support at the ARDEX Group UK, said: “The renovation of the ARDEXacademy North represents a significant step forward in how we deliver training for tradespeople across the entirety of the UK due to its central location.

“We’ve created a modern, flexible environment that allows us to provide training experiences to suit the need of the individual or company in attendance.

“We can provide training in a variety of ways, whether it be hands on, or a demonstration led experience, across a wide range of construction disciplines.”

The company has not revealed how much has been spent on the project.
