Two Stoke-on-Trent businesses have been presented with awards recognising their collaborations with a college.
The City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College announced Business Lodge Stoke and Novus Property Solutions as winners at its ASPIRE Awards Evening held at the King’s Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.
Business Lodge Stoke was named ASPIRE SME Employer of the Year for its commitment to working with the college to support young people through meaningful engagement with education and employability.
A Business Lodge Stoke spokesperson said: “Receiving this award reflects our commitment to providing quality industry placements that support students like Owen, who joined us as an industry placement student.
“Through this experience, we have seen Owen grow in confidence, apply his learning in practical settings, and gain a clearer career direction.
“Our strong partnership with the Sixth Form College has been key to this success, demonstrating what can be achieved when education and industry work together.”

Novus Property Solutions picked up the ASPIRE Large Employer of the Year Award.
A spokesperson said: “Receiving the Large Employer Award for supporting T Levels is a hugely proud moment for us here at Novus Property Solutions.
“It recognises the time, commitment, and care our teams put into creating meaningful opportunities for students and reinforces that our approach to early careers is making a real difference.”
The achievements of more than 150 students were also celebrated at the awards.
College Deputy Principal Phil McPherson said: “The ASPIRE Awards Evening is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our students, while also recognising the vital role our employer partners play in supporting their development.
“Through strong partnerships, employers help students build real‑world skills, confidence, and clear career pathways. We are extremely grateful to our employer partners for their continued commitment to shaping a skilled future workforce.”
