Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce has revealed the finalists for the Professional Services of the Year Award at the 2026 Business Awards.
Sponsored by Plinkfizz, the award recognises excellence within a professional services company, business or organisation, looking at leadership, management, staff development, social responsibility, future growth plans and performance above and beyond what is expected for the service and sector.
Now in its 11th year, the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards is the largest business awards programme in the region. Winners will be crowned at a gala awards ceremony at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Thursday 9 July 2026.
The four finalists are:
Qualsurv Group – A Staffordshire-based consultancy supporting more than 30 offshore wind farm projects with a combined value exceeding £65 billion, alongside senior commercial involvement in the USD 50 billion Diriyah Gate development in Saudi Arabia. Closer to home, the business provided specialist services free of charge to help a Bentilee boxing gym secure £1 million from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Environmental Essentials – One of the UK’s largest testing, inspection and compliance organisations, serving clients including the Houses of Parliament, the University of Oxford and Marks & Spencer. Four acquisitions since 2023 have expanded capability across asbestos, water hygiene, air hygiene and occupational health, with turnover rising around 24% in the last year. Find out more about their application, here.
Currie Young – A boutique insolvency and restructuring advisory firm founded in Stoke-on-Trent in 2015, with senior partners directly involved in every engagement. A strong referral network across accountants, solicitors and lenders has seen the firm increasingly brought in earlier in client situations across Staffordshire, the West Midlands and the North West. Find out more about their application, here.
amb Insurance Services – A Chartered brokerage that has spent 28 years building its reputation on advice-led service rather than price competition. Two strategic acquisitions in three years have broadened capability, while client outcomes tell the clearest story: a construction firm review uncovered underinsurance running into millions, which amb identified, corrected and resolved.
