Food and drink spots across parts of Staffordshire have created limited edition drinks and dishes to celebrate the county’s new Staffy Trail.

The visitor attraction has seen 11 sculptures dotted around the county for people to find and unlock rewards

The latest themed week, Foodie Week, runs from 13 to 19 June with a Secret Staffy Menu served up at local businesses.

At Stafford-based award-winning tearoom Cup a Cha, a new pistachio chocolate melt drink is being launched.

Owner Amy Walsh said: “We’re so pleased to offer Staffy trailers our new Pistachio Chocolate Melt – a beautiful hot chocolate that made with real chocolate and at a special price too.  It’s creamy and even comes in a Vegan option too.

“We’re also offering Staffy trailers 10% off our breakfast and lunch menu for the whole week.  A great way to charge up for the Staffy Trail adventure!

“We really think that the Secret Staffy Menu is a fantastic celebration of the trail and also the creative food industry we have right here in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.”

Other businesses offering Staffy Specials include:

To access Staffy’s Secret Menu people need to show the Staffy Trail digital app or a printed trail map and ask for the ‘Staffy Special’ to order.

More information will be released on Staffordshire County Council’s social media pages on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok tomorrow (13 June).

According to the local authority, an estimated 6,000 people have explored the trail since its launch on Staffordshire Day on 1 May, generating up to £180,000 for Staffordshire’s visitor economy and encouraging people to discover new places, attractions and businesses across the county.

Robin Hall, the county council’s cabinet member for economy and skills, said: “The Staffy Trail is all about exploring Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, and Foodie Week adds another reason to get involved.

“This exclusive Secret Staffy Menu give people the chance to discover somewhere new, support local businesses and enjoy a taste of what makes Staffordshire special.

“We’ve already seen thousands of people taking part in the trail and spending money with local businesses, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more visitors during Foodie Week.”
