A Stoke-on-Trent design and production agency has exceeded its annual turnover target just six months into the year after a period of sustained investment, international growth and a surge in demand across the events and interiors sectors.
ESG surpassed its £5.5 million turnover target at the end of June, reaching £5.6 million – 31% higher than its total turnover for the previous financial year.
The milestone comes after the company invested heavily in its people and resources over the past 12 months, while benefiting from a ‘comeback’ in the events, exhibitions, and interiors industries.
The business has also expanded its workforce by 50% this year, recruiting 25 new employees to take its team to 75. Appointments have included Operations and Production Director Lee Reynolds, who has returned after four years away to continue a 19-year career with the company.
ESG designs and delivers exhibition stands, live events, branded environments and bespoke interior spaces for clients across the UK and overseas. Recent projects have included work for global brands such as Puma, Wagamama, Burberry, Haier and Randox.

Managing director Alistair Wilkins, pictured above, said: “We have never rested on our laurels, and over the past year we have constantly asked ourselves how we can be better – for ourselves and our clients. The past six months have been a whirlwind for the whole team, but what we have produced and achieved is truly beautiful experiences for our clients, and all from our HQ in Stoke.
“We’re a close-knit team, and this growth is something everyone has worked incredibly hard for. Our focus now is to maintain this, and reinvest in our HQ and our team to ensure we’re prepared for the rest of the year and beyond.”
ESG said it is also seeing a growing number of international enquiries as brands increasingly look for bespoke temporary and permanent spaces that create memorable customer experiences.
