Merger creates platform for growth at Stafford IT firm

1 min read

Stafford-based Simplex IT Solutions has merged with a Northamptonshire firm to create a new group bringing together more than 40 years’ combined experience in managed IT, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity systems.

The merger with Dragon Information Systems has seen the creation of Dragon Technology Group. All staff will be retained across the businesses, with Simplex’s Andrew Glyn-Mills becoming chief revenue officer, alongside Craig Joyner who moves to chief technology officer.

Lionel Naidoo, founder and managing director of Dragon Information Systems, and now chief executive of Dragon Technology Group, said: “Simplex is a natural fit for us, being a like‑minded business with the same commitment to service, reliability and long‑term partnerships.

“By bringing our teams together, we can offer customers a broader range of services, extended support hours and the reassurance of a larger, ISO‑accredited provider behind them.

“This acquisition strengthens our foundations and sets us up for further growth as Dragon Technology Group.”

He added: “Looking ahead, we will be continuing to grow the business in a way that maintains the essence of the company and the strong culture we have created.

“We’re so grateful to our customers for continuing to put their trust in us, as we enter the next stage in our development.”
