‘Major milestone’ as CY Group launches in Hereford

Professional services firm CY Group has expanded into Hereford with the launch of its fifth office.

The Stoke-on-Trent-based company, which recently rebranded from Currie Young, has opened a base at the Rural Enterprise Centre, to provide insolvency and restructuring, advisory, commercial funding and consultancy services to its growing client base in the region.

The team includes experienced industry professional Louise Hookham, who has joined the business as director and insolvency administrators Emilia Riches, Alina Radley and Lily Harkins. The four have worked together for several years and CY Group said they have significant experience of advising businesses across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

CY Group director Justin Brown said: “This isn’t growth for growth’s sake. Every decision we make must improve what we can offer clients and strengthen the relationships we’ve built.

“Launching in Herefordshire is a major milestone for our business and gives us an immediate presence in the town and nearby areas, including clients in Worcestershire.”

Louise said: “Relationships are so important in our profession and we’ve spent years building trusted relationships with business owners, accountants, solicitors and lenders across Herefordshire.

“What attracted us to CY Group is its ambition and the genuine commitment to maintaining a personal, relationship-led approach. The culture felt like a natural fit from the very start.

“We’ll continue to be the same experienced and accessible team that local businesses know, now backed by the wider expertise and capabilities of the group. It’s an exciting opportunity and one we’re all looking forward to.”

CY Group, which also has offices in Lichfield, Halesowen and Manchester, completed its rebrand in July this year.

The company has also recently appointed a strategic manager for the West Midlands, Jim Goudie.
