New Stone base gives 30-year-old recruitment firm room to grow

1 min read

A family-run recruitment firm specialising in transport and logistics has invested £25,000 into establishing and developing a new office in Stone.

Pro-Drive has relocated from Uttoxeter to Diamond Business Park, with the new, larger premises providing a more suitable base to grow the business.

The company specialises in the recruitment and supply of professional drivers and logistics staff across a wide range of licence types and skill levels, but also supplies personnel across the industrial, commercial and clerical sectors.

It was founded in 1995 by haulage driver Glyn Skyrme but is now led by his son and daughter-in-law Alex and Katie Skyrme.

Katie said: “The new office represents an exciting next step for Pro-Drive and provides a strong base from which we can expand our services and continue supporting businesses and candidates across Staffordshire and beyond.”

The office is home to three members of staff and has directly created one new position with Joe Birks being welcomed as a senior recruitment consultant.

His role is focused on developing new business relationships, strengthening Pro-Drive’s existing client base and helping to identify further opportunities for growth across Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.

Katie added: “The move into our new Stone office comes at an exciting time for Pro-Drive, following a period of strong growth and success.

“As the business continues to develop, we anticipate creating further employment opportunities at the office in the near future.

“Our aim is to continue building a strong local team that can support our growth while maintaining the high level of personal service our clients and candidates have come to expect from Pro-Drive.”
