Staffordshire businesses urged to tap into summer tourism campaign

1 min read

Tourism and hospitality businesses across Staffordshire are being encouraged to get involved in a campaign aimed at attracting families to the county during the school summer holidays.

The School’s Out for Staffy campaign uses the county’s visitor mascot Staffy to inspire families to visit, stay and play in Staffordshire this summer.

Running until 2 September, the initiative has a free toolkit available for local businesses to use to promote their own summer offers while tapping into the wider campaign and its family-focused audience. Materials include digital assets, graphics and social media content.

Arthur Barnard, chairman of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent LVEP Board, said: “School’s Out for Staffy is designed to showcase everything that makes Staffordshire a fantastic destination for families during the summer holidays.

“While many of our major attractions are involved, the campaign also offers opportunities for businesses of all sizes to benefit. Whether you’re a farm shop, café, accommodation provider, retailer or independent attraction, there are simple ways to get involved and reach new audiences.”

Businesses are being encouraged to share campaign content, promote their summer offers and add events to the Visit Staffordshire What’s On page using the free submit an event tool.
