Employers invited to help shape the future of work experience

1 min read

Businesses across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire are being urged to spare two minutes to help shape how schools prepare young people for the workplace.

The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Careers Hub is seeking employer views ahead of its forthcoming Careers Hub Vision Event, which will bring together senior school leaders to explore the future of Modern Work Experience.

A short survey, containing four quick questions, will give employers an opportunity to share their perspectives and help inform discussions about how work experience is planned and delivered.

Responses will feed into an interactive activity at the event, helping school leaders better understand what employers value and consider how placements and other workplace experiences can better reflect the realities of working life.

For businesses, it is an opportunity to influence the conversation about preparing their potential future workforce, while supporting stronger connections between education and employment across the area.

The initiative aims to help schools design meaningful opportunities that prepare young people for work, with employer insight playing a central role in shaping the discussion.

In its invitation to employers, the Careers Hub said: “Your insights will help us showcase what employers value most and support schools in designing meaningful work experience opportunities.”

Employers can contribute ahead of the event by completing the online questionnaire. The survey should take no more than two minutes, offering a straightforward way for businesses to support careers provision and share their perspective with local school leaders.
